The nature and scope of the projects that Stobart Rail undertakes for the rail industry means that the Company must be prepared for just about any situation on any project in any location.

To fulfill its wide-ranging operations, Stobart Rail owns and operates an extensive fleet of specialised plant. This includes road-rail equipment, as well as numerous items of tracked plant that have been specifically purchased and/or modified to match the special requirements of operations on, or near the permanent way.

The Company also has an extensive range of earth moving, excavation and earth removal vehicles, enabling Stobart Rail to tackle the most demanding of tasks - this significant investment is continually being added to and upgraded to ensure Stobart Rail matches the special requirements and demanding timescales of its clients.

Stobart Rail’s substantial fleet of road-rail vehicles provides a comprehensive series of machine-to-trailer combinations, and also accommodates a host of highly specialised attachments; ranging from tamping and cabling equipment to ground investigation and soil nailing rigs; further enhancing the flexibility of these impressive machines.

In addition, Stobart Rail has an in-house fabrication shop. Manned by fully certified fabricators, it is responsible for manufacturing job-specific attachments for use in conjunction with the Company’s vehicles.
