Walking Floors

Stobart operates a significant fleet of ‘walking floor’ trailers. These feature a complex system of geared sliding planked floor which work in groups to shimmy the load in (or out) using inertia and friction betweenthe sliding planks and the loose or palletted load. The system is ideally suited to recycled products, which may be unloaded quickly and easily by the driver alone without the headroom problems associated with traditional tipping trailers
