Stobart In Ireland

Stobart's Irish office, combined with Warrington and Lokeren, provides a seamless Europewide logistics service that allows transport by a single carrier from Ireland, through the UK and right across Continental Europe. This extended haulage capability is combined with dedicated high specification storage capacity at Warrington and Lokeren in Belgium.

Ireland has become Western Europe’s tiger economy in recent years, not only becoming a centre for IT and pharmaceuticals, but also building its traditional manufacturing businesses.

With their shared history and geographic proximity, the UK and Ireland have always been strong trading partners with large volumes of freight travelling into the UK, or through it, into Continental Europe.

Building on it’s strong North West presence, Stobart International has established a dedicated Irish arm to service the needs of a number of major name clients.

As barriers to trade open up within the EU, many major players are centralising their operations. Whilst efficiencies in scale have increased profits, it also means that transport is playing an ever increasing role in servicing national markets, since goods now marketed in Ireland are frequently manufactured on the opposite side of the Continent.

The Company operates 24 and 48 hour, unaccompanied and driver-accompanied services between Ireland, the UK and Europe, managed and controlled from our Dublin office. Stobart now provide storage and related activities by a substantial dedicated fleet covering the whole of Ireland and linking it with Stobart’s comprehensive UK and Europe-wide transport network.
