OTIF And Utilisation

Many customers are now able to make the switch from a costly dedicated ‘open book’ service to Stobart’s ‘closed book’ shared user system with absolute confidence; making considerable savings and reducing their carbon footprint as a result.

‘On Time and In Full’ Delivery
The specialist and primary fleets are each controlled by their own dedicated state-of-the-art National Traffic Planning Control Centres operating the latest in planning and real time satellite tracking systems that pinpoint the exact location of the vehicle with incredible accuracy.

There’s always a Stobart truck near you!Plasma displays located at customers’ premises display arrival times and detailed waiting time for offloading.

Stobart takes an integrated approach to traffic planning and strategically pursues complementary contracts that maximise fleet utilisation, whilst maintaining consistently impressive customer service.

Shared user protocols and load consolidation have helped Stobart cut wasteful, expensive empty miles to the minimum. As a result, the past year has seen the Company achieve average levels of 84% fleet utilisation - great for customers and great for the environment.

Information from cutting edge in-truck GPS navigation and manifest systems is relayed to Planning in a constant dialogue. This provides a real time picture of each truck’s location to within metres, giving the exact speed and direction of travel of the vehicle and its load; information that can be accessed at any time directly by the client.

Stobart’s advanced Planning capability has allowed the Company to introduce extensive ‘shared-user’ transport networks. This unique, well-proven systems-driven approach delivers the levels of responsiveness, flexibility and transparency, normally only associated with dedicated services.
