Chilled Transport Division

Eddie Stobart's Chilled Division operates a strategically located network of cross-docking facilities.  Pallets which have been collected from a range of suppliers, are consolidated and then reloaded within each cross-docking facility for onward delivery to a number of major name customers.

Stobart Chilled Division’s national network of purpose-built chilled consolidation hubs operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year, delivering fresh food to both the retail and food services markets.

The Division operates its own dedicated fleet of over 270 modern, high specification tractor units with the latest temperature controlled trailers, delivering to a wide variety of destinations every day, including multiple retailer’s DCs and the food services sector. Stobart’s Chilled Division is an accredited consolidator for some of the biggest names in food retailing and provides a daily distribution service into nearly every food retailer in the UK.

Consolidation activities are ideal for both large and small food manufacturers, with regular ‘bus service’ routes providing customers with cost-effective, efficient routes to market. Utilising the strength of our network, we can offer small volume niche manufacturers the opportunity to get their products to market in a cost-effective manner and allow them opportunity to develop business that would otherwise be uneconomical to service.
